Volunteers needed for NACADA Region 9 Cnference 2014

March 18, 2014

Are you passionate about academic advising? Enjoy meeting new people? Sign up to volunteer for a shift at the UC Berkeley's NACADA conference!

As a volunteer, you will have ample opportunities to increase your own knowledge on NACADA topics, expand your professional network, and gain valuable event-related experience. Volunteer shifts vary and responsibilities include:

-Directional Support- Simply put, you stand in a designated location for 30 minutes and point/direct conference attendees in the right direction! You're helpful & friendly…let's put it to use! http://wejoinin.com/sheets/cinim

-Session Attendant- You'll already be attending sessions, so why not volunteer to help the speaker with basic set-up needs (or go get help) if needed, announce the name of the session, collect and submit evaluations to the Volunteer Check-in Table in I-House. Information about conference sessions can be found at http://www.nacada.ksu.edu/Events-Programs/Events/Region-Conferences/Region-9/Schedule.aspx

Once you've decided some of the sessions you'll attend, go to http://wejoinin.com/sheets/thmpn to sign up for volunteer shifts!

-Workshop Support- Help ensure programming runs smoothly by taking 30 minutes at the start of your day to make sure your assigned room is open, LCD projector is ready to go, and room set-up is orderly!http://wejoinin.com/sheets/cinim

Please help us make this the best Region 9 Conference yet! You can sign up for specific shifts and responsibilities at http://www.wejoinin.com/sheets/cinim

If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail Christy Tobolski at ctobolski@berkeley.edu or LaShonda King at lashondaking@berkeley.edu

Thanks and we look forward to seeing you next week!

Sincerely,

The Volunteer and Hospitality Committee
