Advising Strategy + Training strives to stay up-to-date with the latest advising and student services trends on campus within the larger context of the UC-system and field of higher education. We work to provide the advising and student services community and campus leadership with relevant data to influence priorities and decision-making that support advising and student support staff, in turn students, through surveys and reports. Our annual assessment cycle focuses on:
-
Student trends (Fall/Winter)
-
Advising and student services staff experience (Spring)
-
Advising Strategy + Training program evaluation (Summer)
Below are a sample of our key reports.
2023 AS+T Strategic Plan
In partnership with UC Berkeley People & Culture's People and Organizational Development Team (POD), the AS+T team developed our program's first Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan defines the scope of Advising Strategy + Training and details our priorities to support the growth and development of advising and student services staff at UC Berkeley. Read the Strategic Plan to learn more about our mission and values, the Four AS+T Program Pillars, and the ongoing & future efforts that fall under each of the Four Pillars!
2022 Preferences for Advising Modes Report
The 2022 Preferences for Advising Modes Report combines data from student and staff surveys about preferences for modes of delivery for advising and student services, bringing together perspectives from both sides of the relationship. Review the report to learn more about staff feedback regarding work arrangements alongside student feedback about their preferences for accessing advising and student services support.
