Study Abroad 101: Student Services Edition!

Thursday, October 15, 2020 | 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

Berkeley Study Abroad will provide you with information and tools to help you feel more comfortable advising undergraduate students on study abroad. We will share an update on the current state of study abroad at UC Berkeley given the challenges related to COVID-19, and an update on where study abroad is headed.

We will also provide a general overview of how study abroad works (eligibility, credit transfer, financial aid), a summary of available programs and the differences between them. In addition, we will discuss potential opportunities for us to work together to support students in having meaningful study abroad experiences. Both new and experienced academic and co-curricular advisers are welcome!

Presenters:

  • Colette Plum, Deputy Director, Berkeley Study Abroad
  • Michelle Ayazi, Adviser, Berkeley Study Abroad
  • Amber Dillon, International Academic Specialist, Berkeley Study Abroad
  • Alex Tan, Program Coordinator, Berkeley Summer Abroad
