Our care for students is often what drives and fulfills us as university professionals. However, this work can also drain us and lead to tension within ourselves and among our teams. Caring for ourselves is essential to the sustainability of our mission, but this must be met by a system that is equally committed to our care. Today's session will help us clarify what we need to thrive in our work as individuals and how to foster a culture of care that nurtures us as a collective. When we co-create a more healthy environment, we not only enhance the excellent work we do with students, we deepen our sense of purpose, passion, and joy as student affairs professionals.
